Jakarta, InfoPublik - Bali Blues Festival (BBF), a music event for famous musicians, artists, and bands from Indonesia and abroad, will be back on May 26—27, 2017 at Peninsula, Nusa Dua, Bali with more exciting format.

BBF 2017 is a collaboration of Tourism Ministry, Pregina Art and Showbiz Bali, and Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC). This event will inspire the world’s musician to perform and work in Bali.

Tourism Minister Arief Yahya appreciated the organization of the 3rd BBF in 2017. He expected both national and international blues musicians, artists, and bands will join the event.

"Organizing music concert or festival such as blues or jazz is an effective way of bringing in both foreign and domestic tourists in large number," said Minister Arief in Jakarta, Monday (5/22).

This event also supports the Pesona Indonesia and Wonderful Indonesia programs which is targeting the arrival of 15 million foreign tourists and the movement of 265 million domestic tourists in the country. Bali is the main gateway of foreign tourists and contributes 45% of the total visits of foreign tourists to Indonesia.

"Bali needs to create interesting events such as cultural festivals, sports tourism, MICE activities to increase tourist arrivals," said Arief.

Of the 3 million foreign tourist arrivals in Indonesia in the first quarter of 2017, 1.3 million foreign tourists or 43 percent arrived in Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali while 635,000 tourists or 21 percent in Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Jakarta, 369,179 tourists or 12.3 percent in Batam, and the rest arrived in other gateways.
