Gernas BBI 2022 to Peak on Wednesday with Binar Digital Papua

Jayapura, InfoPublik–Director of Information and Communications for Economics and Maritime Affairs  of Indonesia Ministry of Communications’ Directorate General of Public Information and Communications, Septriana Tangkary, invited all parties to contribute to the success of the peak event of the National (Gernas) Bangga Buatan Indonesia(BBI) Movement promoting pride in Indonesian-made products in Papua 2022 which rises the theme "Binar Digital Papua" at the Cenderawasih Sports Center of Jayapura in Papua on Wednesday (24/8/2022).

Septriana stated that Gernas BBI Papua 2022 is part of the efforts to accelerate digital transformation and the development of national creative industry.

According to her Papua is one of the regions in Indonesia which has abundant potential in natural resources and superior products of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Therefore, Papuan MSMEs are continue to be encouraged to experience class upgrade advance to class and become globally competitive by boarding  the digital ecosystem.

"I hope that all parties can participate in the success of this event. This is our collaboration," said Septriana Tangkary at a coordination meeting of Gernas BBI Binar Digital Papua, Monday (22/8/2022).

According to her, the committee has prepared all supporting facilities for the success of the peak event themed "Binar Digital Papua, starting from the ensuring the electricity and internet networks, security arrangement, and preparation of venues and others.

"The TNI and Polri are ready for the security arrangement. Rest assured about the security," said Septriana.

The peak event of Gernas BBI 2022 Papua will be enlivened by Papuan cultural dance performances from Papuan artists, fashion shows, expo of Papuan MSME products and others.

Several ministers are also scheduled to attend the hybrid event in person and thorugh online platform to give their remarks, including, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of Communications and Informatics Johnny G Plate, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Mahfud MD, Governor of Papua Lukas Enembe, and Governor of Bank Indonesia Perry Warjiyo.

In addition, Coordinating Minister for SMEs Teten Masduki, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, and Minister of Investments Bahlil Lahadalia are also scheduled to participate in the event.
